The lessons cost $85 per class and come in packages of 4 sessions.

NOTE: We will not be allowing parents to watch the weekday lessons due to COVID rules. We are trying to limit the amount of adults we have on our site and since we have other groups moving through the area we will not be allowing parents to watch. During the weekend lessons since the lessons are the only programming happening we can allow one parent to accompany the students. We ask that the parent sit at the table next to the cross ties for the grooming part of the lesson and then sit or stand at the archery deck for the lesson in the arena. Please do not bring any siblings to watch, as they tend to want to walk around and look at other animals. We cannot have anyone walking around without an instructor.

Calling all Horse Lovers! Our new ground work lessons use horse connection to help build your students confidence and connection with themselves and with horses in this one-on-one private horse experience. Students will learn the basics of how to interact with horses, groom, halter, and lead horses. Students will also learn about horse behavior and anatomy. Reading animals behavior helps us regulate our own behaviors and read behavior cues from others around us. This is a great introduction for first timers looking to transition into riding instruction as well as students seeking a deeper emotional connection to horses. Lindsay, our SEED class instructor is teaching these one-on-one lessons and you can find out more about her here.

NOTE: This is a private groundwork lesson only and does not include Riding. This is for one student at a time and it is a drop off lesson. We ask that any parents/guardians and other siblings wait in the parking lot for the duration of the lesson as they tend to want to go see the other animals.

Students in the program are:

  • Able to listen to instruction from teacher in an outdoor environment
  • Able to control the volume of their voice around a horse
  • Gentle with our animal friends
  • Able to calm their body around the horse when asked
