What is a Rainy Day Like at Sienna Ranch?

We pride ourselves on being an all weather program and find that rainy days here are always fun and memorable for our participants. Students love playing in our seasonal stream, splashing in puddles, and sliding on muddy trails. Our instructors balance wet and muddy fun with ample time under our covered decks or around the fire to warm up and get cozy with hot tea from our herb garden and fire-popped popcorn. We believe that there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing, so please prepare your child by dressing them in warm layers of synthetic and wool fabrics. Not cotton. Include rain jackets, pants, and boots. Do expect your child to be muddy at pickup, many parents arrive with a fresh change of clothes for the car ride home.

All programming continues, rain or shine. Some activities, such as Horseback Riding are subject to adaptation when it is too hot and/or humid for the horses to exercise or in extreme weather conditions (rain/heavy wind).

School Year & Holiday Camp Refund, Transfer and Credit Policy

Refund, Transfer and Credit Policy

Camp or class refund, transfer, or credit requests must be made in writing to admin@siennaranch.net.All requests must be made within 6 months after the program’s start date.Voicemail messages cannot be considered as official transfer or refund requests. Important Note about Extreme Weather:If there are cancellations due to environmental hazards including but not limited to active fire, hazardous air quality, flooding, and earthquakes we will endeavor to do make up classes. There are not refunds for missed days due to extreme weather.

Refund: Receiving cash, check or credit card reimbursement for programming paid for out-of-pocket. Charter school funds cannot be turned into cash, check or credit card refunds.All credit card refunds are subject to a 5% processing fee which the credit card and registration company charge us.

Transfer: Moving tuition monies within the Sienna Ranch registration system directly to programming in a different date range (different week of camp or different session of the school year) for the same child.

Credit: Releasing tuition monies from a specific class/camp/program and applying them to a family’s general account. Sienna Ranch credit never expires and can be used by any member of the immediate family for any Sienna Ranch program including camps, classes, special events, or store items. Credit cannot be turned into cash, check or credit card reimbursement. Charter School Funds may not be turned into credit, as they are only valid for the exact session & class listed on the PO/voucher.

* ‘Time until the start of class/program’ is counted from the start time of the first day of the session.

* AM & PM camps are separate programs and incur separate fees for cancellations or transfers.

* Credit and Transfer are available for use between immediate family members only.

* We will do our best to honor all transfer requests but cannot guarantee space availability due to the first-come, first-served nature of our programming.

*Please note that ALL credit card refunds are subject to a 5% processing fee.

Waitlist Policy

• How the Waitlist works: If a Sienna Ranch camp is full you can get on our waitlist. You will follow the same steps to add to the waitlist as you would for a open camp. If a spot were to open up the active system sends out individual emails to each family with 2 choices; accept the spot and pay immediately, or reject the spot. If you Accept, the tool stops if that fills the session. If you reject, it will move on to the next family. If the time window of 48 hours expires, then it moves to the next family. Once we are 2 weeks away from the Camp starting the waitlist policy will switch to send the email to everyone left on the waitlist and the first person to respond via email will get the spot. It will be a pool rather than a ranking list since it is close to the start of the session or camp.
  • What if I want to use the payment plan?You will get the option to pay a deposit and will be setup on the payment plan just like you would if you were signing up normally.
  • What happens if a family misses their time window but still want the spot?If a family misses their time window, they are automatically removed from the waitlist. If they want to be put back on the waitlist, they will need to sign up for the waitlist again.
  • What happens if the feature goes through the entire waitlist and there is still a spot open?The spot will automatically be opened up online (if registration is still open) for anyone to sign up!

HolidayCamp Discounts

•  Multi-Camp Discount: : Register the same camper for any 4 camps, automatically receive 5% off the 4th registration and all future camp registrations. Note: Discounts are automatically applied to programs that are purchased in the same order. Please contact office to apply discounts to programs purchased separately.
•  Multi-Sibling Discount:  Register two or more siblings for camp, automatically receive 5% off the second and subsequent child’s registration. Note: Discounts are automatically applied to programs that are purchased in the same order. Please contact office to apply discounts to programs purchased separately.

Early Pickup: Unplanned early pick ups are disruptive and difficult to accommodate as campers may be midway through an activity or hiking offsite.

For Camps- If extremely necessary please call the office before the start of camp to tell us your pick up time so we can have your camper ready. The last window for early pick ups is 2:30pm daily.

Late Pickup Fees: Please note that while we do appreciate a call or voice mail if you are running late, we will likely be away from the phone actively dismissing campers and may not receive your message immediately. Thank you for being on time.

Missing A Day of Camp: We are unable to offer make ups or to prorate camp tuition if your child misses a day of camp.

Thanksgiving “Everything” Ranch Nature Camp

Everything Ranch Camps give campers a taste of it all! Campers will enjoy activities such as hiking and exploring in the hills, visiting our beloved ranch animals, archery (1st-6th only), and working in our woodshop. Each holiday camp will have a unique range of nature-based crafts, seasonal activities, and classic Sienna Ranch games, so feel free to sign up for them all!

Equine Adventure Camp – Riding, Horsemanship, and Natural Adventures

This winning combination of horse and nature activities is perfect for horse kids who love to explore! Each day will be split between horse activities and nature exploration. Campers will receive a daily semi-private riding lesson as well as instruction on the fundamentals of horsemanship. In addition to riding lessons and groundwork activities, campers will learn the basics of horse care/safety, anatomy, tack and equipment, behavior, and herd dynamics through crafts, games and horse care activities. Throughout the day campers will enjoy playing nature games, exploring the hills and trails of Sienna Ranch, and visiting our other animal friends

Horses and Winter: It is our goal for campers to experience mounted riding each day, whenever possible, however,If the weather is too rainy or windy for the horses to exercise safely, then we will substitute riding time with other experiential horse-themed activities.
