School year programs
Weekly classes designed to inspire outdoor exploration and inquiry for the natural world through hands-on learning.

School year overview
Sienna Ranch offers school year programs from September through May for homeschoolers, charter school students, and traditional students ages 3-15.
Nature and enrichment activities
Divided into 4 distinct sessions, our weekly classes provide a variety of nature and enrichment activities. Choose from half-day or full-day programs, including nature classes, archery, woodshop, pottery, gardening, cooking, animal education, and more, all set in our 100% outdoor environment.

Curriculum
Our programs follow a curriculum designed by expert naturalist educators and mentors to help students connect with the natural world. Students engage with the seasonal changes in our landscape and environment while participating in beloved Sienna Ranch traditions. Each class and session is unique, allowing students to develop skills in our five pillars of learning: Play, Expression, Inquiry, Skill, and Service. This approach nurtures empathy, creativity, and leadership, ensuring every child’s learning experience is personalized and meaningful.
Inquiry-based learning approach
At Sienna Ranch, we believe in the power of inquiry-based learning to foster curiosity and deep understanding. Our educators guide students to learn by asking questions and seeking answers through hands-on experiences and problem-solving. This approach encourages leadership, as students take ownership of their learning while building confidence and critical thinking skills. Inquiry-based learning connects students to their environment in a way that is both meaningful and relevant, helping them meet their developmental goals while exploring the world around them.

Tactile learning
At Sienna Ranch, learning is all about “learning by doing.” Our classes offer immersive experiences that encourage students to explore the world around them. Whether it’s wandering through our hillsides with field guides, creating masterpieces in the pottery studio or woodshop, or building emotional connections with our farm animals, students engage directly with the environment.
Our programs are designed with small class ratios and spacious learning environments to ensure that each student has the opportunity to develop leadership skills, build confidence, and share their knowledge.
